
CPD Framework Weightings
CPD Points
The English Australia Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Framework activities are all assigned CPD points, which are weightings based on whether the activity is passive or interactive learning, or if it is a leadership-type activity. The CPD weighted points allow teachers to 'calculate' their professional development engagement over a period of time and allow professional development to be measured by a quantitative value that is recognised within the industry. Weightings also allow for a greater recognition of teachers who have played a more active role in their professional development.

Guidelines: CPD Framework points
It is assumed that teachers will undertake activities from the CPD Framework in conjunction with any other PD their institution offers or requires of them. For those teachers who would like a guide of a minimum recommended amount of professional development that should be committed to per year, English Australia recommends the following:

Statements of Attendance
Where teachers attend live English Australia events (live webinars included), they will receive a statement of attendance, which includes CPD points.
