English Australia, as the peak body of the international English language industry in Australia, provides leadership and influence as the voice of the industry, and support and benefits to members in achieving the highest educational and business standards.
The delivery of English language programs to international students is one sector of Australia’s fourth largest export industry. Over 170,000 international students undertook English language programs in Australia in 2015.
English Australia represents over 120 registered English language centres across Australia and reaches many more through our annual conference and professional development program and our high profile within the English language industry in Australia.

Staff and students at English language providers are users of a wide range of products and services. These include insurance, publishing, qualifications, training, examinations, software, accommodation providers, tourism services, transport, IT support, audio visual services, translation, financial services and banking, amongst others.
Large numbers of international students transition to further education programs in the schools, vocational and higher education sectors, however the first experience for many is with an English language provider.

The English Australia Professional Affiliate (Institute) Program is open to providers registered on CRICOS to deliver Foundation Studies programs (that do not also have any ELICOS programs included in their scope) and primary and secondary schools registered on CRICOS with English language preparation for primary and secondary school programs.
