COAG commitment to expedite streamlined visa processing for low risk providers
English Australia welcomes the inclusion of international education in today's COAG communique as an indication of its importance and in recognition of the significant decline that has been experienced by the sector over the last two years.
The sector hopes that the commitment to expedite the implementation of the revised framework for low immigration risk providers so that they are able to have access to streamlined student visa assessments in the second half of 2012 will be genuinely inclusive of all types of providers so that the ELICOS sector has some chance of seeing a turnaround in the 30 month decline it has experienced to date.
