2014 Action Research in ELICOS Program participants announced

Participants in the 2014 English Australia Action Research in ELICOS Program, supported by Cambridge English Language Assessment, have been announced.

The popularity of the program is growing year by year and places in this unique opportunity for high level professional development with international expert in action research, Anne Burns, are becoming increasingly competitive.

This year English Australia received 19 Expressions of Interest from 26 teachers supported by a wide range of colleges in almost all Australian states and territories.

With generous funding from Cambridge English Language Assessment eleven teachers will take part in the program this year, working on six projects exploring an aspect of teaching, learning and assessing reading, an area identified as of key interest to academic staff in English Australia member colleges. Projects will be complete by the end of August, and outcomes will be shared at the English Australia Conference in Melbourne in September, with further national and international presentations and publications to follow.

English Australia recognises the invaluable support for the program provided by Anne Burns and the staff at the Research & Validation Unit of Cambridge English Language Assessment.
