AEI releases YTD March 2014 statistics
AEI has released the data for commencements of student visa holders at YTD March 2014.
The strong growth trend for ELICOS that was experienced in 2013 has accelerated in the first three months of 2014 with YTD figures showing growth of +30%, producing a total of 30,253 commencements. This growth represents 7,041 more commencing students than YTD 2013 and represents the best performance of any year except the peak year of 2009.
YTD 2014 figures show all of the top 10 countries showing double digit growth, with one country, India, showing triple digit growth.
3 of the top 10 countries have experienced their best ELICOS YTD commencement figures ever: Vietnam, Thailand and Colombia.
China (+1,252), India (+1,063), Vietnam (+948) and Thailand (+902) have contributed the largest numbers of additional ELICOS students.
Three regions also recorded their highest level of ELICOS YTD commencement figures ever: Americas, South East Asia and Southern & Eastern Europe.
