Browns ELS wins Australian Export Award

English Australia would like to congratulate management and staff at member college Browns English Language Schools (Brisbane & Gold Coast) who, after winning the Queensland Premier’s Export Award for Education & Training, received the Education and Training Award at the prestigious 2012 Australian Export Awards at a gala event held in Brisbane recently.

The event was hosted by Trade Minister Craig Emerson, who commented that the wide range and high calibre of the winning group reflected the depth and diversity of the Australian economy.

'In 50 years, Australia has been transformed into an open, competitive economy with close trade and investment links to Asia,' Dr Emerson said.

'As we turn our attention to the next wave of opportunity the Asian Century will bring, exporters will play a more important role than ever.'

The Australian Education & Training award was won last year by ICTE-UQ, another English Australia member college based in Queensland.
