With only one week until nominations for three English Australia Awards close on Friday 31 May, why should you take time from your busy schedule to put a nomination together?
1. It’s an opportunity to be publicly proud of outstanding staff members you work with or innovative products your college has developed.
- Working in your own context and busy with your own teaching, managing, marketing, admin or student support, it’s easy to miss opportunities to say ‘Well done’ to those you work with. All nominees for English Australia Awards will be publicised and will receive a Certificate of Nomination from English Australia.
2. It’s an opportunity for your colleagues and your college to receive recognition for outstanding achievement.
- English Australia Awards are judged by independent experts in the areas relevant to each award as well as by representatives of English Australia. The winners can be confident that they are indeed the best in the field, and they also receive financial recognition and support to attend the English Australia Conference.
3. It’s an opportunity to showcase outstanding quality in ELICOS to those in other organisations, other sectors and other countries.
- The recognition of the quality of international English language teaching in Australia within other sectors of education and by government is growing, and the English Australia Awards enable us to demonstrate the excellence and innovation in this sector. Spread the word with our education agents to help them make the decision to enroll students in an Australia ELICOS college.
4. It’s an opportunity for all of us in ELICOS to feel good about ourselves.
- Despite all the challenges that are put before us we are still providing a positive experience for our students, with high quality educational standards. This is cause for celebration and recognition through the English Australia Awards.
5. It’s an excuse to attend the gala dinner of the 2013 English Australia Conference in Perth
- The English Australia Conference gala dinner is a first class networking event and is the venue for presentation of the English Australia Awards. It’s always a superb evening of good food, good wine and good company and this year it will be held at the beautiful Duxton Hotel - tickets are already selling fast.
Most awards are open to any college registered on CRICOS to deliver ELICOS.
