Coming soon: Australia`s English Language Training (ELT) Barometer - Fourth Wave

English Australia is proud to be coordinating the fourth Australian English Language Training Barometer, which will be conducted in early 2016.

This critically important project is undertaken with funding support from the Australian Government, Department of Education and Training (DET) and facilitated by survey partner i-graduate. It provides an opportunity for your college to be involved in this globally renowned benchmarking project in a cost effective manner, with enormous potential benefits.

The ability to attract and retain international students is core business for English language colleges. In a competitive market, student satisfaction is a key indicator of sustainable enrolments. Satisfied English language students are more likely to provide recommendations to friends and families, which influences the decision process of potential students.

English Australia has facilitated this survey in 2009, 2011, and 2013, whereby the Australian English language sector committed to a confidential, independent student feedback process using the international student barometer methodology.

Without a centrally coordinated initiative such as this project, individual institutions would potentially pay 10 times the fee for a single wave run of the International Student Barometer. By collaborating across the sector under an English Australia umbrella, and with considerable financial support from DET, institutions achieve a significant saving to create the ELT Barometer and pay only $1,300 (exc. GST) to participate.

If ELICOS is your core business or an important aspect of your business you will be compelled to engage with the ELT Barometer project.

English Australia has produced a report from the third wave of this project entitled "Using student feedback to inspire innovation", which aims to provide the sector with a range of information and support. The report is structured in two parts: Part 1 is a summary of the ELB findings; Part 2 aims to provide a complementary resource for ELICOS providers to assist with self-reflection and identification of good practice in key areas of importance to students.

Background information on the ELT Barometer, why it is important and what will you gain from participating can be obtained through the following link: ELT Barometer

Further information regarding the registration process will be forwarded shortly, so please be ready to sign up to ensure your college does not miss out on this valuable opportunity.
