The inaugural Victorian International Education Awards will recognise best practice and outstanding international education providers and the exceptional accomplishments of individual international students.
Applications for the awards closed 11 September. There has been a great level of interest and quality submissions in many categories, however, there are a number of education provider categories which currently have a low number of applications. The judging panel is only able to make awards where there are sufficient quality applications in each category.
The deadline has thus been extended to Tuesday 17 September, 5.00 pm for all the education provider categories in order to allow time for providers to provide additional nominations.
Categories are:
1. Excellence in International Education – Student Employability and Careers 2. Excellence in International Education – Student Support 3. Excellence in International Education – Student Experience 4. Excellence in International Education – University 5. Excellence in International Education – TAFE 6. Excellence in International Education – Private Education and Training Provider 7. Excellence in International Education – English Language Training 8. Excellence in International Education – Research Engagement 9. Excellence in Innovation in International Education 10. Excellence in Research in International Education
Applications can be lodged at: www.awards.studymelbourne.vic.gov.au
Entrants will be automatically considered for the Premier’s Award – International Education Provider of the Year.
Winners will be announced at Government House on the afternoon of Monday 11 November.
This is a great opportunity for your institute to be recognised for its achievements in international education. Along with initiatives like the PhD scholarships the Awards are a practical way to help promote the quality of Victoria's international education activities which research indicates is a strong driver for future student attraction and an issue raised by the sector in consultations.
